Even though there is a lot going on throughout the world. I wanted to stop and share my amazing experience that God allowed me to have abroad.
Over spring break, we had the amazing opportunity to go to Barcelona, Spain and Lisbon, Portugal (Part 2 of this blog post is coming soon). The beautiful weather, the nice people, the culture and the amazing views along with great food really made this trip. We went on amazing adventures and I can’t wait to share them with you!! Plus, I am super grateful to have finally had my ‘Cheetah Girls” moment in Barcelona.

Fashion Sidebar: Those that know me know, I’m all things fashion. In Spain, the majority of the reoccurring fashion trends were late 1990s chic grunge and early 2000s urban (examples below). I was very surprised because in Paris, a lot of people wear black which is chic and sophisticated with hints of color. It was amazing to go into different stores like Zara and H&M in Barcelona and see different clothing trends in comparison to Paris were I saw more dramatic silhouettes, prints and textures.

Food
From the cute coffee shops to traditional Spanish meals, Spain puts so much love and flavor in their dishes!
Mama’s Organic Kitchen and Cafe
This is the best brunch spot with the fluffiest pancakes and delicious omelettes. Plus, the lavender latte was so cute… make sure to add a shot of espresso.
Vigo Restaurant
Had the best chicken paella* with sausages, peppers, mushrooms, peas, rice, and tomatoes.
*Paella is a Spanish rice dish originally from Valencia which is one of the best-known dishes in the Spanish cuisine.

Buneas MIGOS
Buneas Migos has the best chai tea, plus this cute coffee shop was right next to Starbucks but it definitely stands on it own.

Granier
This cute Spanish coffee shop was right next to our Airbnb which was in a very populated metropolitan area.

Adventures
Museu Picasso
In Barcelona, we went to the Picasso Museum. It slipped my mind that Picasso was from Spain. The museum showcased his amazing artwork from academia all the way through his first published pieces and so on.
Park GÜELL “Cheetah Girls” moment
Cheetah Girls 2 is by far one of my favorite movies. After we hiked up a small hill, we were able to see all of Barcelona plus the mountains. When we came down the hill on our way to Park GÜELL*, there was a man playing the guitar (this reminded me of Cheetah Girls 2). We arrived to Park GÜELL, where they filmed “Strut” from Cheetah Girls 2 and the scene where Marisol and mother manager Lola were conspiring against the Cheetah Girls. Park GÜELL is so beautiful, they had mosaic benches along with gorgeous gardens plus the lighting was perfect. Thank God the weather was amazing because we were able to take GREAT pictures.
*Park GÜELL is a public park system composed of gardens and architectural elements located on Carmel Hill, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
Tibidabo Barcelona
Tibidabo is the church on the hill with beautiful architecture.
We went to great a Flamingo dancing performance.
*Checkout my Insta Story for videos of the performance, it will blow you mind.

Looks
In Spain, the weather was wonderful. All I needed was a light jacket with my cute outfit. My inspiration for this trip was prints, textures and neutral colors.
Recommendations
I recommend everyone going to Barcelona, Spain! Everyone that we met was beyond accommodating and there was a lot to do. When you go, make sure you try authentic Spanish food like paella, visit Park GÜEL, Picasso Museum and Tarantos. The next time I’m in Spain I definitely want to visit more local boutiques. Overall, I had a great time in Spain.
Stay tuned for part 2 off this blog post…
Until next time!
